Nearly 20 years ago, my wife and I relocated to Redmond with our two children.  We were attracted by the excellent schools, safe and quiet neighborhoods, abundance of open space, and to be honest a good deal on a home.  Not only did I choose to move to Redmond, I became immersed in Redmond.   I soon volunteered to help at school, coach youth sports, lend a hand with neighborhood projects, and stepped up to serve Redmond first in an appointed and then in an elected role.  Thus, I was most proud to learn that in 2010, Business Week magazine recognized our natural setting, excellent schools, 34 parks and 25 miles of trails as reasons why Redmond was the Best Place to Raise Your Kids in the State of Washington.

As my first term on City Council is quickly passing, I know I have more to give to my new hometown and as such, I am seeking a second term representing you.  I will work hard to ensure that the next generations of Redmond residents inherit a city that balances traditional residential neighborhoods with vibrant and growing urban centers in Downtown and Overlake.  They also will have the opportunity to enjoy a variety of outdoor activities in our many parks and on our growing network of trails.
